New Address

It is official. We are now residents at in South Jordan, Utah. We are still busy unpacking and probably will be for some time.

A huge thank you to those that helped with our move. We couldn't have done it without each of you.

We will post more later, when we get more settled.

Our Cuddlebug

Abbey Lynn has become quite the little cuddlebug. She loves to have her Mom play with her hair and scratch her back. Several minutes of cuddling can put her to sleep like the photo above.
The photo below was taken after she fell asleep in the baby carrier while we made pumpkin cookies as part of FHE. She must have worked too hard!

A Week Away

Our waiting is almost over. We are now only a week away from moving into our new home in Daybreak. You might ask, are you packed? Well, kind of. Most of our belongings have been in a local storage unit. We still have some items yet to pack, but they are items that can't be packed until the last moment.

We went to our new ward on Sunday. It is so big. 10-12 new families joing the ward every Sunday! The ward will be splitting sometime soon ... most likely when two new church buildings are completed in the area.

Splendid

The other evening at dinner, Kylie blurted out, 'splendid'. What? Are you kidding me? Yes, our almost 2-year old said 'splendid'. It is hard to believe that she could say such a word, yet alone comprehend it, but she does.

We think that she picked up the word while watching Super WHY, a PBS-Kids production that she loves to watch.

Kids say the cutest things. And, they seem to grow up so fast.

Construction Update

This week has brought alot of progress on our new home. The electrical work is now completed, rock installed on the fireplace, outside cement poured, exterior paint fixed, plumbing installed and granite countertops added. Whew, that even makes us tired! It is looking really good. Less than 3 weeks to our move-in date! Yeah!

The big 24!

Stephanie celebrated her 24th birthday yesterday. Yes, only 24 ... she is still quite young. She has accomplished alot in a few short years.

We continued the Hansen tradition of balloons, streamers and a birthday breakfast (french toast). Ryan came home early to help relieve her of the girls for a bit and then we went out on a date (dinner, visit to our new home and some browsing at Barnes & Noble).

The evening was capped off with brownies and ice cream (Steph's favorite dessert). Mom Hobbs made homemade brownies because Ryan forgot to buy a brownie mix. Thank you Mom Hobbs! She also watched the girls while we were out on the town. It is great to have family close to support and assist us.
