It's a Boy!

Ok, so it's probably time that we let everyone know that we are having a baby. I was looking through our posts and realized that we have not "announced" anything.

We had our ultrasound today and learned that it is most definitely a BOY! I have to admit that I cried for joy. We love our little girls but we're ready for a little different adventure. We both agreed on the name Carter before Kylie was even born but we've obviously had to wait a while...so we finally get to have our Carter! Our due date is May 25th and I am very excited to have a May baby. I've always thought it would be the ideal time to have a baby; I guess we'll find out!

Well, we thought we would share the good news!

Family Tradition - BYU Football

Attending BYU Football games as become one of our family traditions. We had a great time this year. With one exception, the girls came to every game. Although, the need for a nap usually won out near half-time! We are excited to watch the cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl. Go cougars!

Birthday Girl

Kylie turned 4 earlier this month. It is hard to believe that we have a 4-year old! She helped Mom decorate her own birthday cake. As you can see, it included her new favorite food - marshmallows.

Our Ballerina

Kylie has been taking ballet classes the past few months, along with two of her close friends. She looks forward to dancing every week. You can often find her teaching Abbey some of what she learned in class - 1st position, 2nd position, etc. Way to go Kylie!

October Snowman

Meet Frosty the Snowman! It snowed yesterday and the girls and I decided to make a snowman. This was the first snow of the season and it came in October!

In addition to making "Frosty", we took the opportunity to make snow angels. Even Dad got in the mix!

Halloween Fun

Although Halloween is over a week away, the girls have had a lot of opportunities to have some Halloween fun.

A few videos highlighting these spooky opportunities.

Eco Restoration

On Saturday morning, Ryan assisted the Tree Utah, non-profit organization, in planting trees along an designated eco-restoration project in South Jordan. This was part of a HP service project for our Stake.

It was interesting to see the trees that were first planted nearly 10 years ago, in comparison those planted on Saturday. This project is focused on providing a sanctuary for about 200 different species of song birds. Without such a setting, these birds would leave the area and leave Utah void of much of its original wetland heritage.

Adorable

The following picture was taken right after Aunt Linz and Uncle Keith's ("keefs") wedding in September. The girls were blessed enough to get their hair done by the same hair stylist that did Linz's hair. Aren't they adorable! Someday, we will look back at this photo and wonder how time went by so quickly, as they will be getting married. Oh, how we wished they stayed little.

Our Princesses!

Nearly everyday, the girls ask us, "When are we going to Disneyland again?" As we look back on our trip this past summer, we realized that we have a lot of great memories from this trip. Thank you G&G Hansen!

The favorite memory for the girls was the visit with the Disney Princesses (Arial, Belle and Jasmine) and the opportunity to get their faces painted. Following the visit with the Princesses, they wanted their faces painted, like some of the other little girls in the Park. The cost of three golf outings or a color/cut at a salon later, the girls had painted faces. As you can see, it was worth the cost to see their smiling faces. They glowed with happiness the rest of the day.

Craziness!

As you can see, the park has a way of bringing out a bit of craziness. The video below is no exception. We are still unsure where she learned the dance moves.

Banana Pancakes

The girls and I did our best to continue our family tradition of birthday breakfasts by making "banana pancakes" for Stephanie. As you can see, Stephanie wasn't the only one excited about banana pancakes.

The following video was taken on one of Stephanie's new birthday presents - Flip Ultra HD Video Camera. We love you Stephanie/Mom. Happy Birthday!

Deseret News 10K

On the 24th of July we ran the 10k with Ryan's siblings. It was a great race...thanks to Mom Hobbs for watching all of the kids! She joined us for the parade but we only have this one photo of the day because we were too exhausted and hot to take any more photos.

St. George Reunion

We had a great reunion with Ryan's mom and siblings. It was a fun filled week!

Fountain at the Temple. Ok, probably not the best place to cool off, but how do you stop the kids when it's over 100 degrees!

On the steps of the St. George Temple.
Hiking at Zions!

Uncle Pat decided to go for a swim.

My attempt to make the photo album.

We planned to see Annie at Tuachan but we got rained out just as it started! Oh well, we put the kids to bed and watched a movie. It was nice to relax.

Our beach spot at Sand Hollow.

Playing and getting dirty! Kylie's swimming suit will never be the same. Any ideas on how to remove the red sand? The washing machine isn't doing the trick.

Hanging Out

Right before the Debbie Hobbs Reunion we had Anndalyn Hobbs and her kids stay with us for a week. We had so much fun playing tiger and dress ups. It was so fun to get to know your family better. We miss you all and wish you lived closer!

Aren't these girls cute?!

Future Ballerinas

Camden and Abbey watching a show.

This is the Place Heritage Park

We joined most of the Hobbs cousins for a day at This is the Place Heritage Park. I really enjoyed learning more about our pioneer ancestors. It's a great place!

Ready to learn at the school house.

Making rag dolls.

The girls showing off their rag dolls!

Happy 4th of July

Weekend in Twin Falls for the 4th of July!
