It's Electric!

No, you are not going to view a 90's line techno dance. As part of a promotion in buying our lot and home, we received an electric car to run around in from our builder. Isn't it cute? It is completely electric and is charged by plugging it into any 110V outlet. No more $3.05/gallon gasoline! It is street legal and can reach a maximum speed of 35 mph. Supposedly it can go as far as 35 miles in distance on a single charge. Perhaps we could get a plow attachment to shovel the sidewalks and driveway from snow?

But, being desperate for money to complete our landscaping in the backyard this spring/summer, we sold the car this week. Yes, we sold our glorified golfcart. We didn't even get a chance to test drive it. We sold it sight unseen (except for Ryan who caught a peek into a storage room). I guess we can't be labeled green anymore. Recyling trash will have to do for now.

A New Year's Feast

Grandpa Hobbs came over on New Year's Day. He brought steak, shrimp and a yummy salad for us all to enjoy. We cooked the steaks on the grill in the garage because it was so cold. The smell of the grill got us all excited for Summer BBQs.

Kylie Jo and Grandpa Hobbs helping get the food ready. The day was spent playing with the girls, relaxing, completing a few organization projects and watching some football.

Happy New Year to all!

Sharing Time

Abbey has recently said goodbye to baby food. She is now eating real food! So far, there isn't anything that Abbey doesn't like. In the photo below, Kylie is 'sharing' some of Abbey's food. Wow, they are growing up so fast!

Kylie and Abbey recently had their doctor visits. We learned that only 6 pounds separates the girls - Kylie 23 lbs, 3 oz and Abbey 17 lbs, 4 oz. We are glad to know that Kylie is back on the percentage chart at 6% for her weight. She is just too active to gain much weight, if at all. Abbey has already shown signs of being just as active!
